In a moving video posted to YouTube, a passenger on the MSC Seashore reacted in real time to the “Man Overboard” alarm.

“The ship is always on the move. I was really hoping it would come to a stop. I don’t expect such a huge ship to stop in no time at all,” said the passenger whose name YouTube user Fancy CheapSkate.

“It would probably take a while, but I don’t know what they’re going to do. If they send a lifeboat out for a search. I just feel like we’re still moving. It’s so bad. We always have the impression of moving forward. “

MSC responded to a statement saying:

“A young man traveling with his family aboard MSC Seashore appears to have committed suicide on Wednesday evening. Our team immediately notified the authorities and our medical team is assisting the young man’s family on board.

“We are all heartbroken at MSC Cruises. The family remains in our thoughts and prayers. “

MSC will not discuss further details out of respect for the privacy of the family.

A Miami-Dade Police Detective told Fox News they responded at 7 a.m. Thursday morning in Port Miami. While the investigation is ongoing, “no criminal act is suspected.”
